The 2026 Leadership Forum
The inaugural APSS Leadership Forum was held in partnership with the African Medicines Agency at AMA headquarters in Kigali on 16–17 September 2026. Participants brought patient, clinical, regulatory, research and industry perspectives into discussions on preventing medication-related harm.
The beginning of sustained work
The Forum brought together experience and perspectives on medicines-related risks, the flow of safety information, patient experience and institutional response. These discussions now inform the follow-up coordinated by MFA.

The Compact is being developed as a shared framework for preventing medication-related harm, clarifying institutional responsibilities and supporting coordinated action. Its development will be informed by practical experience.
